
AN OCEANIA VOYAGE

The following images were taken during a trans-Pacific voyage which began on 17th April 1930 and passed through the islands of Tahiti and Samoa where the following historical pictures were taken. |

Fantastic volcanic peaks tower above the palm-fringed shores of Moorea in the Society Group. On this jewel among the South Sea Islands a shady beach hung with flowering vines, fades away into a cool, green distances, as shadowy valleys penetrate mountains which tradition says were once inhabited by a race of lizard-men.
