This Web site contains a number of extremely rare images of Operation 'Grapple' undertaken on Christmas Island, Line Islands, Republic of Kiribati. These images include the bombing circuit, the balloons used to raise some of the bombs, the tent city of main camp, the runway and various vessels utilized during Operation 'Grapple'.

Also included are a number of diagrams of the Valiant bomber showing the bomb bay, the cockpit, and a number of modifications made to allow the bombers to be utilized during this operation.
